1. On Line Price Book -

Input your items and prices online at www.pricebook.aerende.com and download them to your iPhone/iPod Touch to be loaded into the Price Book application database on your iPhone/Ipod Touch. If you have a paid Price Book iPhone application, you will have a free account on www.pricebook.aerende.com. To signup for a free account follow these steps:

  • Start up the Price Book application on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
  • In the settings page or in the Settings app for Price Book, set the email address to the one you want to use for your online Price Book account.
  • If your iPhone/Ipod Touch has Internet access, Price Book will indicate that your iPhone/iPod Touch has been registered with the website.
  • Go to www.pricebook.aerende.com and signup for a free account by giving the same email address that you put into the settings page or in the Settings app for Price Book.

2. Uploading Item and Price information -

The Price Book app will automatically export your Items and Prices to your account on the website when you have registered your device with the website, you have internet access and you update an item or price. Otherwise, updated items and prices are stored on the device, for update to the website, once internet access is restored and you have entered a new item or price.

3. Downloading Item and Price information -

Note: If you are downloading a lot of items and prices from the website to your device, it can take some time to download from the web and load into the database on your device over a 3G network. For 4 items and prices it can take 10 seconds. For 40 items and prices it can take 100 seconds. Currently the Price Book only downloads Item and Price information for Items that have Prices entered. Items that have no Prices entered will not be downloaded to your device.

4. Price Information -

With the Price Book Comparison Shopper you can create a list of items where each item has a list of prices with the following information:.

  • Location
  • Zipcode
  • Date
  • Price
  • Quantity
  • Unit
  • Brand
  • Notes
  • Sale
  • Coupon

5. Price Display -

Prices are displayed with the following information: .

  • Location
  • Sale Price - indicated by red letter 'S'
  • Coupon - indicated by red letter 'C'
  • Price
  • Brand
  • Price/Unit for that unit group
  • Date
  • Quantity purchased with units

6. Unit Groups -

There are four unit groups as shown below. The smallest unit per unit group is determined for the prices for an item, and all price/unit fields for that item are recalculated for that smallest unit. In this way one can see which price has the lowest price per unit per group. By clicking on the Sort Price button in the Price Book app, the price with the lowest price/unit will be at the top of the list.
